Telly legend ready to play Alexis as cult show returns

CULT Eighties seriess Dynasty is on the way back and Dame Joan Collins – now i in HER eighties – wants to be a p part of it.

The show aboutabou power, greed and sleeping around is being revived by US network CW.

Dynasty ran fro from 1981-89 and revolved around the wealthy Carrington andColbyan­d Colby families in Denver, Colorado.

John Forsythe, whow died six years ago aged 92, was BlakeBla Carrington with Linda Evans, 73, h his wife Krystle.

Insiders say Brit Britain’s Joan, 83, is keen to return as schem scheming Alexis – and she has spoken of herhe desire for a new generation of fans to see the show.

A TV source in Los Angeles said: “Many 80s shows are being rebooted at the moment, so CW felt that Dynasty being one of the biggest would be a great asset to thei their network.

“Joan is definite definitely in the focus of the producers. Her ret return would really help attract older fans and give the show a good PR push.” Early plot detai details reveal the families again at war, withwit Blake’s daughter Fallon and new cha character her soon-to-be stepmum Cristal a as the main players. Last year Joan admitteda the old cast dreamed of a scree screen reunion. She said: “Stephanie Beach Beacham, Emma Samms, John James and I are always talking about it whenever we get together. “We could be d doing it because our kids who were infan infants 30 years ago could now be running c companies – and we could be the brain brains behind it. I think a huge amount of peoplep would watch.” The actress has been wowing fans with tales of Dyn Dynasty during her tour Joan Collins U Unscripted, including a show at the London Palladium two nights a ago. Husband Percy Gibson, 5 51, was with her. Dyna Dynasty creators Esther and R Richard Shapiro will work on the revamp with Josh Schwartz and Step Stephanie Savage, produc ducers of the US teen dr drama Gossip Girl.
