NO MORE KIDDING Kerry’s serious about not having another baby

- By Patrick Hill

TROUBLED reality TV star Kerry Katona has made an early New Year resolution – to resist the joy of six.

The mum of five is back with estranged husband George Kay but has decided against having more children.

The Atomic Kitten singer, 36, has just had £12,000 worth of cosmetic surgery, a tummy tuck and liposuction, and wants to have some more me time.

She told the Sunday People: “It’s time for me to enjoy me and my body. That’s why I don’t want any more kids.”

Self-confessed ex drug addict Kerry, who nearly died giving birth to her youngest girl Dylan-Jorge in 2014, is looking forward to less turbulent times.

Earlier this year, Kerry and former Warrington Wolves rugby player George, 35, split up while he was awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting her and being in possession of a banned weapon.

But Kerry withdrew her complaint and the pair, who got married in September 2014, are now happier than ever and planning to renew their wedding vows.

Kerry said: “I could moan about the past but I’d be stuck there. You have to move on with your life.

“There are people with disabilities or poorly, I’m blessed with five healthy children and a wonderful husband – if anything, I’m lucky.”

The family has temporarily moved from their home in Crowborough, East Sussex, to a six-bed house in Lincoln, where Kerry opens in Cinderella tomorrow as the Fairy Godmother. The panto runs for 68 shows until January 8.

She said: “I couldn’t spend two months away from my children.

“The kids are really excited and my older two girls love watching me at work, watching the dancers and picking up quite a bit.

“I’ve done panto before. When I was nine I played Buttons.

“I’m over the moon people think I can sell tickets. I’ve turned them down before but I thought, sod it. It’s nice to play someone other than Kerry Katona for a change!” Kerry, the 2004 I’m A Celebrity winner, had two daughters – Molly, 15, and Lilly, 13 – with ex Westlife singer Brian McFadden, 36, as well as Heidi, nine, and Max, eight, with second husband, cab driver Mark Croft.

She said: “We put the tree up last weekend. If I’m at home it’d have been up in September.”

Molly and Lilly are spending Christmas with Brian’s parents. Kerry said: “It’s never the same when all of the children aren’t together. But on the other hand it’s not as mental. I ’ m not cooking this year, we’re going out i nstead because I can’t cook.

“We’re all very very happy. My husband has been absolutely amazing looking after the kids every single day. He’s doing all of the washing, he’s amazing running the kids around!”

In March, Kerry said: “I’ve always wanted six kids. I definitely want a boy and I feel that’s what I’m going to have.

“I nearly died after I had DJ. My placenta erupted. It was a one- in- amillion chance.

“After it happened, George said he’d never put me through that again. But six months later we were saying we wanted another baby.”

Kerry lived with four sets of foster parents, spent time in three different refuges and attended eight different schools as a kid. She said: “Having a big, happy family is all I have ever wanted and I will do everything I can to protect my kids and keep them happy. My children are so clever and beautiful. They make my life complete. “They’re definitely my proudest achievement.”
