“We’ve swapped numbers and followed each other on Twitter.”

In 2014, Stephanie said her split from personal trainer Dan, 33, was amicable.

But when he started dating her then-friend Kym within weeks she found it tough.

Stephanie said: “Kym didn’t steal Dan, they were both single. We were never best friends but we’d known each other a long time, we’d seen each other at events and we’d got quite friendly. I admired and liked her.

“The main reason why I was so hurt, why I lost so much weight and was a ball of anxiety, is because Kym was in my arena and I knew I’d see them everywhere.

“When you’re trying to close the door on a relationsh­ip, especially such a long one, you don’t want to see them loved-up with somebody else or read how they feel about another person.”

Stephanie initially lashed out at Kym in an interview but as the Corrie star’s relationsh­ip with Dan turned serious she realised she had to be civil for the sake of Lexi, six.

The star, who also has a older daughter Mia, 10, said: “I wanted to be amicable with Dan’s new girlfriend so I tried to be lovely to Kym. But it was difficult for both of us.” Kym, who plays Michelle Connor pregnant by Steve McDonald i n Corrie, was engaged to Dan but split last spring.
