It’s well known SNEAKY TV chiefs are padding out their festive schedules by serving up re-heated leftovers.

They are filling out the yuletide line up by showing favourite programmes again – and again – during the holiday period.

ITV’s Christmas Day line-up certainly has a familiar look about it – because it’s a near exact replica that Wayne is a generous and avid supporter of charities and for him to back the Lee Rigby Foundation means the world to us.

“We know Wayne is very supportive of our armed forces and we’re privileged to benefit from his support.”

Drummer Lee Rigby of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was targeted in a terrorist attack near his barracks in Woolwich, South East London, in May 2013.

He was run over in a car then hacked to death in the street by Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, who claimed to be avenging Muslim deaths at the hands of British forces. Both were sentenced to life. Former SAS hero Colin Maclachlan, of the one it broadcast in 2013. Once again it features Harry Hill’s You’ve Been Framed, Paul O’Grady’s For The Love of Dogs at Christmas, plus Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

ITV is even showing Hugh Grant’s 2003 movie Love Actually at the end of the evening – just as it did four years ago. There is yet another outing for Harry Potter

and the Chamber of Secrets, made in 2002, plus 1994’s The Lion King – both screened many times on terrestrial telly.

BBC bosses say they are showing fewer repeats than last year.

But they fail to mention that a large proportion of their new Christmas Day shows – such as Mrs Brown’s Boys, The Great Christmas Bake Off and Doctor Who – are being screened more than once over the holiday.

Even the Queen’s traditional 3pm address is being repeated – at 5.30pm over on BBC 2.

A BBC spokesman said: “In peak time on BBC1 more than 90 per cent of programmes will be brand new.” ITV said: “We have some wonderful new programmes on over Christmas.”
