THE wife of disgraced TV sports presenter Richard Keys yesterday announced she is pressing ahead with divorce.

Julia Keys spoke out following reports that her 59-year-old husband had lied to her about ending an affair with a blonde 31 years younger.

The former Sky Sports presenter secretly spent two nights with lawyer Lucie Rose, 28, at a posh London hotel this week.

Julia, 57, claimed that while her husband was with Lucie she received a love heart from him in a text and a message that said: “Please let me come home, I love you, I can’t live without you.” Julia, a psychotherapist, said: “He’s a pathological liar.

“I’ve said to Richard on more than one occasion that I understand if he wants to be with Lucie. These things happen.

“I also said if you are going to have an affair then make sure the person you are having an affair with is worth losing and risking your life and your marriage for. And losing the person that he had continued to say he loved, which is me.

“If there was any chance of rekindling or reconciling our marriage it was worth doing, given the fact we’ve been together for 34 years. It’s a long time.

“But now his refusal to not let Lucie go has indicated to me he really wants to be with her and I genuinely, genuinely wish him well. I wish them both well.”
