JEREMY Kyle is happier than he’s ever been after finding love with his kids’ former nanny, says a pal.
It emerged last week the ITV host famed for quizzing people over their romantic entanglements has fallen for Vicky Burton, 35.
They have been dating for two months and friends say Jeremy, 51, thinks she is perfect for him.
A source said: “Jeremy and Vicky are very happy and planning their future. She’s very down to earth and not interested in fame. She loves Jeremy for who he is. And he dotes on her.”
The friend said: “Vicky is nothing like some of the people who appear on the Jeremy Kyle show.
“She is classy – and that is what he likes about her most.
“They are perfectly happy staying in watching movies and box sets.
“Both are enjoying life and all the exciting things that come with the start of a new relationship.”
Their relationship has been strengthened by the support Vicky gave Jeremy to help him cope with the death of a close relative just after Christmas. The friend said: “Vicky has been at his side during a really difficult time. She has been an absolute rock.”
Vicky became the family nanny almost a decade ago. She was pictured on holiday in Barbados beside Jeremy, ex-wife Carla Germaine and two of their three children in July 2013.
Romance
Jeremy announced his “amicable” split from second wife Carla 18 months ago. Their 13-year marriage ended in divorce last February. Vicky had worked for the family since the kids – now aged 13, ten and seven – were very young.
She left the job nine months ago to pursue other work. Their romance is Jeremy’s first since the end of his marriage. A pal confirmed the romance last week and said: “It’s very early days. The relationship is just starting out so who knows what the future will hold?
“Vicky is much loved by all the family. Jeremy’s children have been at the forefront of his mind. He has dealt with his new romance very sensitively.
“His children have been made aware. He’s been single for a long time and deserves a bit of happiness.”
News of the relationship did not go down too well with ex-wife Carla, 41.
Our source said: “When Carla first heard about Jeremy and Vicky she hit the roof. She didn’t see it coming.
“But Jeremy hopes they can move on and have an amicable relationship for their kids.” Jeremy and Vicky plan to return to the Caribbean but this time as a couple.
Their friend said: “They’re looking forward to more holidays in Barbados – where Jeremy has a house.
“Vicky was over there before Christmas with her parents, co- ordinating the renovation. Jeremy gets on really well with Vicky’s parents.
“They’ve met him many times and go to the golf day he holds every year for Help For Heroes. They think he’s a good match for their daughter.
Passionate
“Jeremy and Vicky are pleased that people know about their relationship. They don’t need to creep around.” Days after Jeremy announced his marital split it was reported Carla had enjoyed a “passionate affair” with England polo player James Carr, 25, while Jeremy was away filming the US version of The Jeremy Kyle Show. In January 2016 Jeremy was clear that finding love was not on his agenda. He said: “Kids and work – that’s it. I promise you. “Literally that. I’ve thrown myself into work, that has kept me going. I appreciate all the support.”
