- By Nicola Fifield

BRUCE Forsyth’s daughter has told how the star is on the mend after his latest hospital stay.

Fans will be relieved to hear Sir Bruce, 89, is recovering well after five days in intensive care.

The ex-Strictly Come Dancing host was rushed to St Peter’s Hospital in Surrey with a serious chest infection.

Since returning in an ambulance to his mansion in Virginia Water, Surrey, the game-show legend has been nursed by wife Wilnelia, 59.

And according to Julie Forsyth, the second eldest of Sir Bruce’s five daughters, The stunning French teenager, daughter of a Tunisian film producer, first dated the son of football legend David two years ago. But they split and then Brooklyn started dating actress Chloe Moretz, 20. Now he and Sonia have reunited in the city of love – while Victoria took pictures of them outside the Louvre art museum. Perhaps the usually s t ony- f aced f ashion designer will be inspired by the museum’s most famous exhibit, the Mona Lisa – and try an enigmatic smile. the TV favourite is perking up. Julie, 58, said: “I have been to see him and he’s doing great.

“He is getting over a chest infection so it’s a bit difficult, but he’s doing good.”

She said all six of Bruce’s children had been at his bedside in hospital.“We were all up there,” she said. “All the girls rallied round, and his son.”

Sir Bruce’s hospital drama came just days after his 89th birthday when Wilnelia wished him “a ton of health” on Instagram. Hospital manager Ian Wilson told how Sir Bruce was grateful to the NHS staff who saved his life. Mr Wilson said: “Sir Bruce would like to thank everyone for their good wishes. “He and his family would also like to say a special thank you to all the NHS doctors, nurses and staff at St Peter’s Hospital for their kindness and care.” The star has never fully recovered from two aneurysms – bulges in blood vessels –and surgery in 2015.

But Mr Wilson revealed Sir Bruce has made “no formal or informal decision” on retiring.

The veteran presenter was too frail to attend the funeral of his close friend Ronnie Corbett last year.

And Wilnelia admitted in November that Bruce has problems moving and they have spoken about the day when he’ll no longer be around.

She said: “He’s the man I fell in love with because his brain is still there.”
