TELLY star Danny Dyer is planning a second honeymoon with wife Jo Mas after returning from his break in South Africa.

The EastEnders favourite wants to whisk Jo away to the Maldives for a no- expensespared holiday.

It comes after exhausted Danny, 39, who plays Queen Vic boss Mick Carter, took a break from the BBC soap to “sort his life out”.

The couple, childhood sweethearts who have three children aged 19, nine and two, wed in September after 20 years together. A source said: “Since they got married Danny has been working non-stop and they haven’t had a lot of time with each other.

“Now Danny wants to make Jo feel special. He is very focused on his family.”

Last month Danny flew alone to South Africa for a well-earned rest, looking shattered according to fellow passengers at Heathrow. But the source added: “His time in South Africa has done him the world of good. Now he just wants to do lots of fun things with his family.”

While Danny was away Jo, also 39, has remained busy at their Essex home “ironing vests and pj’s” for their brood.

It is not known when Danny will return to his £400,000 a year role in EastEnders. The partyloving star’s problems spiralled when he appeared to be drinking heavily at the National Television Awards in January, after attempting to “go dry”.

He had previously also admitted to considering other options away from Walford after four years in the show.

He said: “It has been really rewarding but there is other stuff out there.”
