Strain’ fears for TV Ferne
PREGNANT Ferne McCann is “struggling” with the strain of events over the last two weeks.
The reality TV star has lost weight and is worn out, leaving family and friends worried about her and her baby’s health.
But sources say she’s determined to move forward as a single mum and is focusing on making a great life for her unborn child. She’s already started looking a baby blogs to get tips.
This week Ferne, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, confirmed she was expecting, just a day after her former boyfriend Arthur Collins was arrested in connection with an acid attack at a London club that left 20 injured.
She has since kept off social media. A source close to the This Morning presenter said: “Ferne’s family are increasingly worried she is under the immense strain of the past week’s events.
“Despite being in the early stages of pregnancy she has lost a lot of weight and looks worn out.
“Ferne is clearly struggling with the mental strain of it all too, but is determined not to seek sympathy or feel sorry for herself.
“The baby is giving Ferne hope. She is not worried for herself and is concentrating on becoming a good mum and has been reading lots of baby blogs.”
Ferne, 26, has made it clear that she’s no longer in a relationship with Collins. From her social media pages she has deleted all traces of her Collins, who she first dated last summer before reconciling with him earlier this year.
Collins, 24, was charged with wounding with intent and throwing corrosive fluid on a person. He was remanded in custody to appear at Wood Green crown court on May 22.
