Hubby left me for my sister-in-law

They started affair FOUR months after br other died

- By Courtney Greatrex

A MUM today claims her husband began an affair with her tragic brother’s widow when he had been dead for only four months.

Sam and Chris Stokes took devastated sister-in-law Jo “under their wing” in the tearful days after Allan Huskisson lost his battle with throat cancer.

But now Chris, 32, has dumped mum-of-three Sam by text – and moved in with Jo.

Sam, 31, a martial arts teacher says: “The betrayal has felt like a dagger to my heart. “After Allan died my first thought was for her. We were like sisters. I knew she would be in so much pain so I did everything to make sure she was OK. But she abused my kindness.

“Now I know why Chris was happy to provide a shoulder for her to cry on too.

“The pair of them have ripped apart our entire family.”

Sam said she and Chris tookJo, 32, on holiday with them to Lanzarote – six months after Allan’s death in March last year.

Chris, a car painter, had been her husband for ten years.

Sam recalls: “He often nipped into her room at night. He’d say he was as removing cockroaches. He’d e’d be gone for halflf an hour. But I thought nothing of it.”

It wa was the last thing sh she wouldd have su suspected of her c hil dhood od sweeth sweetheart and d the woman her brother ther loved so much much.

SecretarySecre Jo had a daughter with AllanAl in 2014 and the two were engaged,en with a wedding planned in 2018. So ca caring sister Sam helped him carrycar out his wish and even loaned his bride a dress for the weddingweddin in a hospice in Walsall on MarchMa 4, 2016. AllanAll died the next day. SamSa was plunged into grief for h her brother and for Jo. But that was shattered in JanuaryJan when she received the bombshell text from Chris.Ch She says. “Chris wrote, ‘We ain’t happy, we ain’t good for each other. I’ve moved some of my stuff out the house so there isn’t a scene in the street at a later date.’”

Still, distraught Sam did not suspect Jo – until she posted her despair on Facebook and a close friend phoned her to reveal who the other woman was.

A few hours later the two women spoke o on the phone and Jo admi admitted it. Sa Sam says: “Jo said she kissed Chris in Ju July and their aff fair flourished f from there.

“It had all b been happening u under my nose w while I believed w we were all still grie grieving for Allan. I f el eltt humiliated, hum and outraged on behalf of my brother.”

Sam and Chris then sat down with their three children to tell them what had happened. Sam says: “Explaining their father is now in a relationship with their auntie was devastating.

“They couldn’t get their heads around it.”

She plans to divorce Chris. Sam says although she has “lost her best friend, husband and brother” she is trying to focus on the future.

“This will take a long time to get over,” she says. “But I hope one day to find new love.”

Jo would not comment. Chris said: “I decline to comment because I don’t want our kids to be dragged through this.”
