Lisa was still mourning dad
TRAGIC mum Lisa Lees was still grieving for her dad when she was taken from her own two daughters by evil Salman Abedi.
The 43-year old, who was set to become a grandmother for the second time, was devastated after losing Ivan six weeks ago.
Ivan’s partner Ann Colley, 57, said: “Ivan would have been so upset if he was still alive. He would have been devastated.
“Ivan would have been 64 in June but he just got worse and worse and then we lost him.”
Showing us treasured snaps from Ivan’s family album as his ashes sat on a shelf in the corner of the room, Ann added: “Ivan had Lisa first and then Lee came after. He was very fond of her. He loved her and his granddaughters. I am feeling for them now.”
Devastated
Lisa was in the foyer of the Manchester Arena on Monday night, waiting to collect daughter Lauren, who is pregnant with her second child. Lisa’s brother Lee Hunter said his family “are all absolutely devastated”. He said: “Lisa was a wonderful kind person, an amazing sister, mother, wife and daughter. She had made so much of herself and had so much to offer this world. Her loss will be widely felt and is a tragedy, especially to lose her in this way. It’s been very hard to take.” Ann broke down in tears as she added: “It’s one death after another. My nephew came round to tell me at dinnertime and I was stunned. I’m still a bit in shock.” Aromatherapist Lisa was known for her love of children. In 2012, she received an Excellence in Practice Award for her amazing work with kids with life-limiting illnesses, severe breathing and mobility problems. Another tearful relative, who did not wish to be named, said Lisa’s girls were still struggling to come to terms with what had happened. She said: “Ivan was seriously ill before he passed away and then this has happened. I got a call to say Lisa had gone to a concert and not gone home. Then I saw on the news she had died. It is so shattering, to think of her two daughters.”
