PAWNS OF SATAN Fiends Brady and Sutcliffe played chess together
THE Yorkshire Ripper has told how he came to despise Ian Brady as they played chess in jail.
Peter Sutcliffe, 70, was in Wormwood Scrubs with the Moors Murderer, who died earlier this month, aged 79.
Speaking before Brady’s death, Sutcliffe told a pal: “I played chess with him and I beat him, so he’s not that bright.
“He was upset about that. He takes everything seriously and thinks he’s the bees knees, but he’s just an idiot.
“He had an air of kindnd of feeling as though he was very important. It was like he thought he was a snob.”ob.”
Brady, who with loverver Myra Hindley murdereded five children and buried them on Saddleworth Moor, never discussed his crimes with Sutcliffe, who said: “I didn’t mention anythin anything I’d done and he didn’t mention anything he’d done.” Vile SutcliffeS is serving 20 life sentenc sentences at Broadmoor for murder murdering 13 women and attempti tempting to kill seven others. But despite his crimes, he says he cannot fathom Brady’s evil. He said: “I can’t understand him. He’s just a psychopath. He’s wrong in the head. To do them things that was mental wasn’t it, to kill them kids.”
Sutcliffe was furious after it was reported that Brady had claimed he was more notorious than him five years ago.
