SAMIA GETS TOUGH AS I’d go mad and rip up Sylvain’s suits if he cheated

- By Kim Carr

CORRIE’S Maria Connor is facing a tough time on the cobbles because she is going to exposed as a love cheat.

Her best pal Eva Price discovers the hairdresser has been having an affair with her fiancé Aidan Connor.

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, is expecting Eva to be furious because that is how she would react in real life.

Loved-up Samia’s first wedding anniversary with professional ice skater Sylvain is in August and she knows what she would do if he strays.

She joked: “I’d have prawns in the curtain rail and everything. I’d cut one leg out of all his trouser suits.”

More darkly, she warned she would take revenge like the thwarted rabbit- boiling character in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction.

She said: “I’d go bunny on it. Which probably isn’t far from what Eva’s going to do.” Samia, 34, and Frenchman Sylvain, 36, tied the knot in Take That frontman Gary Barlow’s former Cheshire mansion Delamere Manor.

They have son Yves, 21 months, and their relationship has faced close scrutiny. They were partners on ITV’s Dancing On Ice in 2013. At the time he was seeing Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, 34, who he met on the show two years earlier.

Sylvain’s friendship with Samia grew after he and Jennifer split up. Samia was single after the break- up of her first marriage to property developer Matt Smith, father of her daughter Freya, now seven.

But a bitter war of words erupted between Jennifer, her friends and Samia, who denied any wrongdoing or being a man stealer.

But the same is certainly not true for Maria in Corrie, who believes Aidan is about to dump Eva for her.

Fool

Samia said no good comes out of affairs and when Maria discovers startling news about Eva she tells Aidan: “This is it now. You need to sort your head out”.

Samia said: “I see Maria as the girl next door, who’s never gonna get that happy ending she always craves. Since (her late husband) Liam died, she’s never replicated that. He was the love of her life.

“As much as she’s searched for it, she’s never found it, which is quite sad really.”

But Samia thinks Maria is her own worst enemy and needs to turn her life around.

Samia said: “She’s a massive fool. I feel like banging her head against a wall.

“She needs to start going to church and redeem herself. Have a little break, throw
