999 BOSSES IN £400K PAY ROW

- By Rob Cooper by Stephen Hayward

BRITAIN’S youngest lotto millionaire was left unrecognisable after a scary allergic reaction to having a Brazilian bum lift.

Jane Park, 21, who won £1million on EuroMillions with her first ever lotto ticket at 17, travelled to Turkey last week for the Kim Kardashian-inspired op.

But an extreme reaction to anaesthetic in the surgery left her face and lips swollen and inflamed and she needed urgent treatment.

The ordeal has left her friends and family fearful for her safety.

They claim she has become “obsessed” with her appearance since her win.

A source said: “They are worried that she has become addicted to cosmetic surgery because she has been really poorly – but she still says she would have more cosmetic work done.

Luxuries

“Family and friends want her to slow down but she’s getting a real confidence boost from the cosmetic improvements and she believes that it’s her body, her money, her choice.

“She’s really happy with the results but at the moment she’s having to sit on a special cushion specifically designed for people who have had a Brazilian bum lift. Without it, she is in agony.

“She has spent about £50,000 of her winnings on cosmetic procedures but this allergic reaction has really worried those around her.”

Since her win Jane has splashed out on a boob job, full set of dental veneers, liposuction, botox, lip enhancements, cosmetic filler and now the bum lift.

The source added: “She may be only 21 but she does not see why she should wait until she’s older to make the most of her money.

“She flew to Turkey with a friend last week and spent a couple of days enjoying the luxuries provided by the celebrity clinic where she had the operation.

“But once she came round from the treatment, she started to panic. Her face had swollen dramatically as a result of A CRISIS-hit ambulance trust has paid out more than £400,000 to bosses for overtime – in breach of NHS rules it is claimed.

The payments have been made to East of England ambulance managers, who already earn between £60,000 and £80,000 a year.

Yet national “terms and conditions” state they are not eligible for the extra payments.

Meanwhile frontline staff have now been told to reduce their own extra hours bill to avoid going over budget.

Last year, the Sunday People revealed that senior managers had been handed top of the range 4x4s at public expense.

We also revealed six managers had been re-hired just months after receiving redundancy packages worth £1million.

Now figures obtained under Freedom of Information laws show several bosses have been awarded overtime payments totalling £416,208 in the past two years.

Insiders say the trust recently wrote to all frontline staff saying overtime had to be reduced due to a projected deficit.

One worker fumed: “It’s another example of financial mismanagement and managers feathering their own nest, rather than looking after their staff – the overtime for frontline staff has been removed.”

The news comes as the trust, which serves East Anglia, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, struggles to answer all of its 999 calls within recommended time limits.

Official figures show it reached just over 68 per cent of the most life-threatening calls within eight minutes during the past year.

The trust said a union agreement meant staff could be paid for overtime instead of time off in lieu.

A s pokeswoman added: “Managers within the trust work exceptionally hard.”
