BRAD Pitt stopped off to see best friend George Clooney and his new twins on his way home from Glastonbury.

Divorced Brad, 53, flew by helicopter to George’s country home in Oxfordshire, landing in the field next door.

The two Hollywood heartthrobs have been friends since they worked together on Ocean’s Eleven in 2001, and George has helped Brad through his split from Angelina Jolie, 42.

The friends were previously reported to have fallen out because Angelina did not get on with George’s human rights lawyer wife Amal, 39, who gave birth to twins Ella and Alexander last month.

But our source has revealed that George, 56, has supported Brad through his divorce and “stopped him going off the rails”. The source said: “George and Brad have grown really close since he split from Angelina. “Brad was overheard telling his friends at Glastonbury that he was off to see the Clooneys and their new arrivals. “He was very excited about George be- coming a dad for the first time. Their friendship means a lot to him, and George keeps him grounded.”

It was the first time Brad met the Clooneys’ babies – and he is likely to have a few helpful tips, being dad to six kids with Angelina, including eight-yearold twins Vivienne and Knox,

The Fight Club star, who revealed last month that he gave up alcohol after his 10-year relationship ended last year, partied until 7am at the festival.

He was dancing to techno music with friends including David Beckham, in the Rabbit Hole bar.

It was Brad’s first time at the festival and he was given a special tour by his friend, former Oasis star Noel Gallagher, and Noel’s wife Sarah.

An onlooker said: “Brad hung out with Noel and David for most of the festival.

“Noel’s wife Sarah showed him all the hot spots, and then they all ended up in the Rabbit Hole.”

Singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, 38, was there too and told how Brad was “having a great time”.

Proud

George’s business partner Rande Gerber recently told how the actor’s twins, who were born on June 6, have made him a proud father.

He said: “He’s so happy now with his life. It’s just life in general and having those kids is, you know, such an incredible feeling for him and Amal.

“The kids are the perfect mix of both George and Amal. They really are so cute. They’re doing great.”
