BUS STOP KILLER’S EVIL REIGN

-

Levi Bellfield, who would target victims at or near bus stops, attempts to murder AnnaMaria Rennie, 17, but she survives.

Rachel Cowles, 11, is stopped by a man in a red car on her way home and is offered a lift home. The driver claims he is her new neighbour. Rachel declines the lift and her mother reports the incident to police. Bellfield is believed to have been the man in the car.

Milly Dowler, 13, disappears after getting off a train one stop early to meet with friends in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

Milly’s remains are found in Hampshire- her body is naked and there are no possessions nearby.

Marsha McDonnell, 19, is beaten over the head and dies.

Bellfield tries to kill Kate Sheedy, 18, in Isleworth, West London, by running her over.

French student Amelie Delagrange, 22, is murdered by Bellfield, who strikes her head with a blunt instrument. receives life sentences for the two killings.

Bellfield is convicted of the murder of Milly Dowler, receives another life sentence and is told he will never be released. Police announce Bellfield has finally admitted Milly’s murder. He later denies making any such admission. BBC airs a twopart documentary exploring possible links between Bellfield and the Russell murders. It suggests Bellfield could be linked as he matched an e-fit description given by attack survivor Josie Russell.
