Gun Gibbs £8M exit

- By Neil Moxley

ARSENAL have slapped an £8million price tag on the head of Kieran Gibbs.

People Sport understands he will be allowed to leave the Emirates at that figure, contrary to reports suggesting that the left-back is up for grabs at twice that amount.

Gibbs, 27, has just 12 months on his Gunners deal and wants a £70,000-a-week contract – a figure that has put off some suitors given he played just 11 times in the Premier League last term. BURNLEY have entered the race to sign Jonny Howson from NORWICH. The Clarets are looking to bolster their ranks in the wake of Michael Keane’s defection to Everton. Howson looks set for a move away from Carrow Road and a switch toTurf Moor would see him back in the Premier League. WATFORD are chasing BOLOGNA midfielder Lorenzo Crisetig. The 24-yearold Italian impressed on loan at Serie A side Crotone last season and will be available this summer if his £2.6million release clause is met. Crisetig has an option in Belgium but would prefer a move to the Premier League. ASTON VILLA are mulling over a £4million offer from ST-ETIENNE for Jordan Veretout. But with cash at a minimum, Steve Bruce is holding out for more so he can afford targets Glenn Whelan and Ahmed Elmohamady. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are taking non-League hot-shot Mikel Miller on trial. The 21-year-old is currently with Isthmian League side CARSHALTON ATHLETIC, and recently took part in a match with the Jamie Vardy Academy. Miller will now spend the next three weeks training with Wednesday.
