Marko’s a crazy Iron’

-

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC agreed to become WEST HAM’S record signing as he loves the “crazy” Hammers fans.

The Austria forward, 28, has signed a five-year contract with the Irons after finalising his £24million move from STOKE.

And he admitted that the passion of West Ham’s supporters was a big factor in his switch south.

Arnautovic said: “The fans here are crazy for football and this is what I like.

“Everyone knows that West Ham is a big club, with a big history and I’m happy to be a part of it now. I can’t wait to get started.

“I played against West Ham at the old stadium, but I didn’t play last year at the new stadium as I was banned.

“I was at the game, though, and it made me realise it is a massive club with a lot of great supporters.” CHELSEA youngster Jake Clarke-Salter is in talks over a loan move to NORWICH. The 19-year-old central defender is in Asia on Chelsea’s pre-season tour, but is expected to make the switch on their return. Clarke-Salter agreed a new Blues deal last week. STOKE have taken non-league forward Luke Holness on trial.

Holness currently plays for WALTON CASUALS in the Bostick League South Division, but he has been attracting interest from a number of sides.

Now Premier League Stoke have brought him in to train with them – and, if he impresses, the former Fulham and Crystal Palace kid could be offered a full-time role.
