Duggan planning to beat the Buss

- By Tom Hopkinson

MOHAMED SALAH scored an outrageous chip as the £36million winger helped Liverpool cruise to victory in Germany.

Salah has impressed in pre-season and gave another glimpse of the quality that saw manager Jurgen Klopp agree to pay a club record for his signing.

The win was a stroll for the Reds in a game which saw Philippe Coutinho again demonstrate why he is in demand, after he brilliantly set up the third goal for Salah.

The No.10 beat two men in his own half before playing a perfect through ball for the Egyptian who lifted the ball over the keeper from the edge of the area.

Klopp said: “Mo Salah, wonderful goal - we had three sessions on Friday, it was really intense for both teams, it was a good test, we are okay.

“We were good, there was a lot of good football around, we had to fight a little bit more, tactically we were not so good though.

“We needed to be a little bit more compact, but it was a mature performance.”

Klopp handed Coutinho the captain’s armband for the game which also saw Dominic Solanke and Georginio Wijnaldum find the net. ENGLAND striker Toni Duggan hopes to add Elise Bussaglia to the list of vanquished new Barcelona team-mates in Deventer tonight.

The Barca stars in Spain’s team felt the force of Duggan and her fellow Lionesses when they met in the group stages of the Euros, in Holland.

And tonight she is hoping to turn the screw on Bussaglia and her French pals when the two nations come face-to-face in the quarter-finals.

Like Duggan, Bussaglia, 31, will join Barca after the Euros, and the ex-Everton and Manchester City star said: “I needed to earn the bragging rights by beating Spain. Now I need to tick off Bussaglia, so I can give her some stick.

“Then, if I can walk in with a medal round my neck, that’ll be a good start to life at Barca.”
