Sporty free spirit Zara nose she’s found right fella

-

SHE is the Queen’s eldest grand-daughter but Zara Tindall has never had the air of a storybook princess.

And when she married rugby player Mike Tindall – a wonky-nosed Yorkshireman who enjoys trips to the pub – Zara confirmed her status as the most “normal” member of the royal family.

The couple met during England’s Rugby World Cupwinning campaign in Australia in 2003.

As required by the Royal Marriages Act 1772, the Queen gave her consent to their marriage in a meeting of the Privy Council.

Their wedding was held in July 2011 at the Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland.

And while the Queen attended, it was a relaxed, unstuffy affair at the Canongate Kirk on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.

Afterwards it was announced that Zara, 36, would continue to use her maiden name, which she did until last year.

They even decided to forgo the traditional post wedding honeymoon and went back to their day jobs on the Monday. In January 2014 Zara gave birth to their daughter Mia, who is known for her boisterous behaviour.

Mia stole the show in the Queen’s 90th birthday portrait by clutching her great-gran’s famous black handbag as they posed for the official picture. The couple were heartbroken last Christmas Eve when Zara lost their second child just weeks after they had announced her pregnancy.

Afterwards Mike said cheeky Mia helped him and Zara get through the pain of the miscarriage.
