A BRITISH holidaymaker has been found dead hours after a drinkfuelled “carjacking spree”.

The body of father-of-two Kevin Daffurn, 30, was found barefoot on wasteland in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, on Friday evening.

Police say a few hours earlier, Daffurn jumped into the driving seat of a Mitsubishi car after a man left his key in the ignition.

A woman in the passenger seat was hurt leaping from the car as Daffurn allegedly drove off at San Eugenio shopping centre.

The carjacker crashed shortly afterwards on the TF-1 motorway.

He then tried to steal another car and a motorbike stuck in the traffic jam caused by his crash. Stunned tourists saw him jump over the central reservation and flee on foot.

A police source said: “The events were crazy. It was like something out of a film.”

Local media said he was carrying shopping LOOK out, Matt – you don’t have a Cloo who’s behind you! George Clooney photobombs Hollywood pal Matt Damon and their waiter on a big night out.

The stars and their wives were at George’s favourite restaurant Da Ivo to toast the premiere of their new movie Suburbicon at the Venice Film Festival.

He held a bachelor party there before marrying human rights lawyer Amal in the Italian city in 2014.

Owner Giovanni Fracassi said the Clooneys, Matt, 46, and his wife Luciana Barroso, 41, had a great night.

“They all get on brilliantly,” he said. “It was wonderful to host them all.”

But he revealed George, 56, created a stir when he asked for white truffles – in short supply after the heatwave across southern Europe – on a stormy night.

Giovanni said: “My waiters were soaked to the skin looking all over Venice for white truffles, which they found. He went crazy for it. He ate two helpings of mushroom risotto with the white truffles.”

The stars later posed for selfies with staff, who gave George and Amal, 39, bottles of champagne with the names of their newborn twins – Alexander and Ella.

Matt plays a smalltown criminal in 1950s America in the dark comedy, which George directs. That might explain why he decided he could steal the scene. bags when he tried to steal the second car. Daffurn, from Shotts, in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, and two British friends had arrived to stay in Playa de Las Americas, in the south of the Spanish island, the day before.

One of the group posted a picture of a bottle of Jagermeister and cans of Red Bull on social media just after they checked in.

The caption read: “One hour in, half the bottle gone... roll on the night party time for next five days.”

The Guardia Civil said last night it was still investigating the cause of death.

Daffurn’s friends will be interviewed.
