A club can be three games into a season and suddenly everything has to change because someone comes in for one of their players. There is an argument to say that there should be no window at all. I can’t think of any other profession which has such a system. Under this system, a club could lose, say, four strikers and are not able to replace them until the winter window. The way it is now, a lot of your planning can go out the window if a club comes in for your players. DAVID GEISS MAYBE we could go back to the way it used to be.
