KEVIN DE BRUYNE will be offered a bumper new £200,000-a-week deal at Manchester City.

The Belgium international is set for a pay hike that will make him one of the club’s top earners after a stunning start to the new campaign.

Boss Pep Guardiola hailed the 26-year-old as ‘one of the best in the world’ following his display in midweek against Feyenoord.

And even though the playmaker’s current contract has more than three years to run, the hierarchy at the Etihad are keen to reward him.

De Bruyne, who agreed a six-year deal worth £130,000 per week when he joined from Wolfsburg in 2015, is way behind Raheem Sterling, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero in the pay stakes, but that is about to change. HARRY REDKNAPP was last night sacked by Birmingham City.

The 70-year-old manager was relieved of his duties after the Championship strugglers were beaten 3-1 at home by Preston.

The bizarre move by the Blues’ Chinese owners comes less than three weeks after Redknapp undertook a massive spending spree on transfer deadline day.

In all, Redknapp sanctioned 14 signings with almost half of them completed on the final day of the summer window.

Since then, Birmingham have played just three matches – losing all of them – and slipped into the PEP GUARDIOLA called on Manchester City to recognise ‘a legend’ after hat-trick hero Sergio Aguero sacrificed his penalty duties.

The City boss saluted the Argentina star’s actions in stepping aside to allow Raheem Sterling to score at the end of the 6-0 rout.

Aguero had moved three steps closer towards becoming the club’s all-time record goalscorer, his trio closing the gap on Eric Brook, who scored 177 goals in 453 appearances between 1927 and 1940.

Two goals now separate them, but it could have been down to one as the star striker let Sterling smash home from the spot – despite orders from his manager.

Guardiola accepted it was inevitable the 29-year-old would overhaul Brook, saying: “Sergio’s shown again what a good guy he is. I was so happy with his goals. A hat-trick is not easy, so all credit to JOSE MOURINHO believes bringing the Prem Premier League title back to Ol Old Trafford would be his greatestgre ever achievement. The Spe Special One has won leagu leagues with Porto, Chelsea Chelsea, Inter Milan and Re Real Madrid. But he says that r returningetu t he crow crown back to Ma Manchester Un United would to top the lot. Mourinho (l (left) admitted: “Winning the Premier League isi s now more diffi difficult. “And England is defini definitely the most
