Because of her healthy diet and daily fitness regime, the star admits she is “a lot more fit than a number of people my age”.

She said: “When I wake up in the morning I do my monkey stretches, that energises and stretches your whole body. Then I do about 10 minutes attending to the bits and pieces that are pertinent to me - like my tum and bottom and flabby underarms, things like that. “I do a lot of brisk walking, which gets your heart pumping, then at home I garden a lot, which keeps me fit. “I’m not super-fit like I was back in the Eighties. It’s just a question of maintainin­g it.” When asked whether she attracted male admirers while in Tuscany, Diana – who raked in bags of fan mail in her heyday – coyly said: “I’m a very friendly person and I smile a lot. I had good responses, put it that way. “But I’m not looking for romance in my life at this stage. “I’ve got glorious friends and family. I’m a very contented person.”
