HE could be called the luckiest bloke in Britain as he spends his Saturday nights getting to grips with a former Playboy model.

EastEnders star Davood Ghadami has emerged as one of the favourites in this year’s Strictly and his on- screen chemistry with pro partner Nadiya Bychkova has viewers hooked.

It even prompted judge Bruno Tonioli to suggest they looked as if they were ready to “race to the bedroom”.

But Davood, 35, says there is no chance of him being the latest Strictly star to waltz off with his partner.

Speaking to the People, Davood – who danced the rumba to Wicked Game by Chris Isaak last night – said: “Me and Nadiya have got on since day one.

“We clicked immediately and our chemistry happened naturally. And we use it in our performances. We’ve done dances which allows us to show off that chemistry, which is great.”

In fact, the actor says his wife and daughters have been coming to rehersals – and often end up laughing at him with Nadiya, 28.

He said: “My wife Isobel comes to rehearsals with my daug daughters. They got on really well. My daug daughters draw pictures of Nadiya. My wife wi and Nadiya spend most of their time laughing at me.

“To be honest, my daughters dau get a bit embarrassed when they see me on TV. My daughters love Jonn Jonnie Peacock.

“Poor Jonnie, I make him send them video messages, which t they love. They think he’s a superhero.”

Davood also revealed how his Enders co-stars are helping coa coach him to success. “Me and Kellie Br Bright (who plays Linda Carter) have a sit d down every week and go through my danc dances,” he said.

“And Tameka Empson (Kim Fox) has been really helpful. We speak s most days. We’ve all been through it so we compare notes. They’re so supportive.” suppo

Viewers enjoyed a Halloween-themed Hal show last night and D Davood used a spooky real-life experien experience to inspire his performance. “My paren parents live in an old haunted house,” he said said.

“I didn’t believe it at first then I’ve had some unwanted gues guests when staying there. There was definitely something in there with me. I was left on my own in that house and in the mirror I saw a reflection. That was a very interesting evening. I was convinced ghosts didn’t exist but that made me question it. I used that experience in my Halloween dance.”

Davood – also known for his roles in Casualty, Doctors and Skins – is on a break from EastEnders, where he plays market trader Kush Kazemi.

He is hoping to return in the New Year. “I want to go back,” he said. “It’s home for me. And it’s where I hope to remain.”

Last night’s show saw the return of Bruno, who was off last week due to work commitments in the US. He watched bookies’ favourites Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez do the tango to Maneater by Nelly Furtado

Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara did a paso doble to Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit.
