A TORY MP is today sensationally accused of a boozy sexual assault on a male Labour MP in a cab.

The Conservative, also male, is now among a dozen MPs who could lose their seats in the growing storm around the Westminster sex harassment scandal.

Labour rights campaigner John Mann is compiling a little black book of the offenders as new allegations continue to swirl through the Commons.

Mr Mann, 57, the MP for Bassetlaw in Nottinghamshire, said: “There will be at least 12 by-elections as a result of this.

“There are also going to have to be more Cabinet resignations.”

It is alleged that the incident involving the two male MPs happened in 2014 after a night out drinking.

There were suggestions a date rape drug might have been used.

The victim did not want to talk about what happened.

Another Tory MP nicknamed the Lift Lunger is one of 40 MPs accused in a “dirty dossier” circulating at Westminster.

Sources claimed he had acted inappropriately in Commons lifts with female MPs by touching them and that staffers were warned not to get in lifts with him alone.

Astonishment

A Tory MP said he had reported the Lift Lunger to Government whips in 2010. There was astonishment when he was subsequently given a promotion by the then PM David Cameron.

The MP said: “I reported him after the General Election that year when a number of new female MPs raised concerns about him.”

The MP in question denies any inappropriate behaviour and says he is unaware of any reports on him in the whips’ office.

Mr Mann will be presenting evidence of Labour misconduct to Jeremy Corbyn once he has f i nished collecting it.

The latest allegations came after the Tories suspended Dover MP Charlie Elphicke after referring “serious allegations” to police on Friday.

Married Mr Elphicke, 46, denies any wrongdoing and complained about how the Tory Party tipped off the media before telling him of his suspension.

The party’s new chief whip Julian Smith was two days into his new job when he issued a statement announcing Mr Elphicke’s suspension. Mr Smith replaced Gavin Williamson who is Britain’s new Defence Secretary. The Dover and Deal Conservative Association backed their MP saying he is “professional and dedicated” and “innocent until proven guilty”.

Theresa May, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Lib Dem leader Vince Cable will meet tomorrow with the four other Parliamentary party leaders to design a new safeguarding system for MPs and staff. The Prime Minister said: “There is a vital need to provide better support and protection for the thousands of staff working i n Westminster and in constituency offices.”
