Talking about playing Cilla, Sheridan recalled the time she was thrown out of a hotel for doing impression­s of her too loudly.

She said: “One night I’d gone out and had a bit of a night and took loads of people back to my hotel room and started playing Blind Date.

“So I’ve got them all lined up and I’ve got the wardrobe door open like the [ partition] and I’m going, ‘Come in number 2, what’s your name and where do you come from?’ and doing all that.

“We were being really loud for ages and then the phone rang and I was like ‘Here’s our Graham with a quick reminder’.

“But it wasn’t Graham, it was the hotel manager and I got kicked out of the hotel. True story. Rock and roll!”

Sheridan now has her heart set on playing another of her icons. She said: “I would love to play Dolly Parton. I’d have to lose some weight here [ around my waist] and get massive knockers.

Karaoke

“She is amazing, isn’t she? That is my fancy dress outfit if I go to any fancy dress parties, my mates can vouch for that. And my song is 9 to 5, my karaoke song. “If I ever got married, I need to find a fella first, but if I ever got married my hen party would be at Dollywood. “I so want to go to Dollywood. I think I’d cry if I met her.” Sheridan is on ITV tonight at 9pm.
