The host is seen alongside an equally happy fan and his longtime TV sidekick Declan Donnelly.
Dec, 42, has been supporting Ant through his battle to beat an addiction to prescription drugs – and the pair will have a three- day break before preparing for I’m a Celeb’s launch next weekend.
Ant spent last month in rehab in Los Angeles before flying back to Britain.
An insider said: “Ant has been away for most of the summer and has hardly seen Dec, so the next few days will allow them to have some proper bonding time together.
“It will be nice for them to chill out before the madness of the show. Towards the end of next week they will start to script the opening episodes together.”
Ant, who is 42 next Saturday, looked perky as he posed with fans at Heathrow before heading off. His estranged wife Lisa, 41, is busy working as a make-up artist on Strictly Come Dancing and she is not expected to visit him in Australia.
Last week it emerged that Ant had been spending time at a rented house as he battles to save his 23-year relationship with Lisa. He was spotted wearing his wedding ring – but Lisa, the love of
his life, had been seen without hers.
The couple, who wed in 2006, have spent long spells apart this year.
Ant spent eight weeks in rehab in the summer for drug and alcohol dependency.
He had become hooked on prescription pills after a botched knee op in 2015.
The couple were separated again when he jetted off to LA for a second spell of recovery six weeks ago
In August Ant praised her for coping “brilliantly”, but admitted: “I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression. I’m very sorry... this kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.”
