Drug dealer Collins is set for a hefty jail stretch after scarring nightclub revellers in April’s attack. Ferne says: “You find out you are pregnant, you are so excited but then your whole life is turned upside down. It was absolute hell and it is hell.

“People have their opinion and you are scrutinised for different decisions you make. It is really difficult.

“I feel like I’m in a situation where I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t, whatever I do, whatever move I make people are going to have an opinion.

“I haven’t done anything. I shouldn’t care about all the negative comments. It’s hard not to read them and worry about what the future is going to hold.

“There is not a day goes by that I haven’t cried. It’s for so many reasons, it’s because I’m scared, I feel lonely, I feel s***, I feel sad.”

Ferne was talking during new ITVBe documentary Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, which airs on Tuesday.

And she admits it has been hard to completely focus on baby Sunday.

She says: “I am just looking forward to getting this year out of the way and

When the baby finally arrives Ferne admits she is “overwhelmed” by the love she has s got from her newborn. She adds: “I’m m so overwhelmed when I look at her. It’s such a lovely feeling. I think me and Sunday are going to be absolutely fine. Who knows what the future holds?”

She also thanks the public, especially women, for their support.

Ferne, who appeared on The Only Way is Essex for three years, adds: “I don’t think you realise how much strength you have until you are faced with a terrible situation.

“I found strength because I have someone else to think about. Thank God for this baby – my absolute life saver.” by CALL the Midwife’s Helen George is campaigning for the “amazing” work of real-life delivery nurses to be recognised.

It came after midwives cared for her when she gave birth three weeks early to her daughter Wren in September.

The 33-year-old suffered from a liver disorder called ICP during her pregnancy – but felt relaxed thanks to delivery nurses.

In a moving Instagram post, the actress, who plays Trixie Franklin in the BBC series, said: “I wasn’t in the least bit worried. I was surrounded by the most wonderful midwives. Their unfaltering care got me through.”

Helen teamed up with Pampers for the campaign after learning one in three midwives felt “undervalued”.

Now she wants parents to “thank their midwife for the amazing jobs they do” by using hashtag #ThankYouMidwife.

For every story shared on social media, Pampers will give £1 to the Benevolent Fund, which helps midwives.

As she settles into being a mum, a source said Helen’s co-star boyfriend Jack Ashton (who plays the Rev Tom Hereward) plans to pop the question next year.

With Call the Midwife due to return in January, it is set to be a great 2018 for the couple.
