SINITTA claims she was sexually assaulted by many powerful men over her career – and is planning to name and shame them in a tell-all book.
The Eighties pop star is releasing an autobiography next year in which she says she will expose her attackers.
Sinitta, 54, who f eels empowered after the Harvey Weinstein scandal, said: “I thought strength was staying quiet. But I actually think that kind of strength is interpreted as weakness and I think we are doing each other a disservice by not speaking.
“It is to say, ‘It probably looked like you got away with that – but you haven’t’.”
Sinitta, who has confided in close friend and former lover Simon Cowell over the abuse, added: “It’s not about revenge. I was assaulted by a very powerful person. It is scary because you think of the repercussions. I’m a single mum and a single woman, literally – it does feel very scary. “But after all these years of putting a smile on my face, to think these things haven’t affected me – I thought that was bravery. “It hasn’t stopped me living my life but it actually damages your confidence. You have this child inside you weeping but you are pushing forward. “I think it’s going to be empowering in the end but you’ve got to do it scared. There are multiple men, I have been around a long time.” Sinitta, who shot to fame with the single So Macho, has remained close to music mogul So Simon, , 58, s since ce her e Eighties g pop heyday. The pair previously dated and she has regu regularly appeared on The X Factor. But they fell out this year when he refus refused to employ her as a guest judge on the show.
