NEWLY DIVORCED SINGER HAS BIG NYE PLANS

- By Janine Yaqoob

LOUISE Redknapp will ring in the new year as a divorced woman by clubbing with pals.

Tonight the singer, 43, plans to perform solo hits then let her hair down with friends during a night on the town.

On Friday she divorced her football pundit husband Jamie, 44. Court papers blamed his “unreasonable behaviour” for wrecking their 19-year marriage.

Neither were at the London court hearing which lasted just 25 seconds.

A pal revealed the New Year’s Eve plans of the ex-Eternal singer, who wants to make a chart comeback and go on tour in 2018.

The friend said: “She’s really excited to celebrate with pals out on the town – it’s the first time she’s ever done anything like this.

“She’s booked to perform some of her solo hits at GAY nightclub in London in front of friends.

“They plan to have a drink on the VIP gallery and enjoy the atmosphere and then hit up some other venues.

“She’s really going to let her hair down and celebrate the new year truly meaning the start of a new chapter for her.”

This week Louise, who finished a UK tour in Cabaret earlier this month, performed at the wedding of Strictly choreographer Jason Gilkison.

Kevin Clifton, her friend and pro partner on the 2016 show, was there along with recently wed fellow dancers Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec.

Tonight’s celebration is a far cry from a year ago when she posed in skimpy swimwear during a family sunshine break with ex-footballer Jamie and their two sons.

At the time she posted the cryptic message: “Never regret a day y in your life: good days give happiness, , bad days give experience, worst days give ive lessons, and best days give memories.” s.”

Louise, who left the family home in Oxshott, Surrey, in n October, said she had come to feel like e a “Stepford Wife”.

She revealed she e had explained to sons Charley, 13, and Beau, nine, she had to leave their father ather to reignite her showbiz career.

She said: “They were both just like, ‘ That’s hat’s OK, Mum, we get it’. I wanted to sing, I wanted anted to perform and go o on a stage in front of an audience. I felt physically sick k at the idea that I’d never have ve that buzz again, that fulfilment ent I get from performing.

“And that is when en the s**t hit the fan. No one could understand nderstand why it was so desperately important ortant to me. I feel I’m coming back to who I really am.

“I have spent most st of my life pleasing everyone else, worrying rrying about being judged and thi thinking g I should always do the right thing th by staying at home, looking after my kids and my

husband husband. I lost myself.”
