Paintings by M25 pleas for freedom

A BARELY human form lurks on a stark horizon like a beast ready to pounce on its prey.

The painting was created behind bars by M25 rapist Antoni Imiela – a chilling glimpse into his disturbed mind.

Another shows a haunting night scene that represents his time on the run for armed robbery, during which he battered and raped his first known victim.

The Sunday People publishes them today along with extracts from jail letters we obtained as the 63-year-old looks forward to his freedom.

They paint a picture of a man who shows no remorse for his sickening crimes. He boasts from behind bars that he has “still got a lot of ambition” and “I’ve got the rest of my life to live”.

The Parole Board is considerin­g his release in the wake of the controvers­ial decision to free Black Cab rapist John Worboys. Imiela, a former railway worker, grabbed his victims and dragged them into a secluded area where he threatened to kill them, often brandishin­g a knife and beating them.

Despite getting SEVEN life terms in 2004 for raping nine women men and girls as young as ten and the indecent decent assault and attempted rape of a girl of ten, Imiela could be out in months. onths.

He wrote from his cell l last August: “Well I’ve got the rest of my life to live yet and things to do and in the future. Oh yeah, I’ve still got a lot ot of ambition and have always got what t I aimed for even if it took hard work.” ”

Like Worboys, Imiela is s in Wakefield jail, known as Monster Mansion, ansion, where child killers Roy Whiting, Mark Bridger and Levi Bellfield are also o serving life.

His letters focus on his upcoming parole hearing, saying: “The he main thing in my head is hoping to get et out.”
