Paintings by M25 pleas for freedom

A BARELY human form lurks on a stark horizon like a beast ready to pounce on its prey.

The painting was created behind bars by M25 rapist Antoni Imiela – a chilling glimpse into his disturbed mind.

Another shows a haunting night scene that represents his time on the run for armed robbery, during which he battered and raped his first known victim.

The Sunday People publishes them today along with extracts from jail letters we obtained as the 63-year-old looks forward to his freedom.

They paint a picture of a man who shows no remorse for his sickening crimes. He boasts from behind bars that he has “still got a lot of ambition” and “I’ve got the rest of my life to live”.

The Parole Board is considering his release in the wake of the controversial decision to free Black Cab rapist John Worboys. Imiela, a former railway worker, grabbed his victims and dragged them into a secluded area where he threatened to kill them, often brandishing a knife and beating them.
