Lubeck, West Germany, to a Polish father and German mother. They moved here in 1961 and spent time in Worthing, West Sussex, before settling in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham. Imiela talks in his letters of a possible return to Germany. The monster also reveals he has been thinking a lot “about the past past” and say says he has suffered the consequences of his “criminal ways... rightly or wron wrongly deserved”. He also write writes of how he used money from selling his paintings to buy treats. In February last year he said: “I do like to buy coffe coffee, sweeteners, milk and the odd luxury – sweets, flour, eggs, sugar, vinegar vinegar, tomato sauce, bacon, one in a blue moon steak.” For his hor horrific attacks in the Home Counties, Im Imiela was sentenced at Maidstone crown court in March 2004. Although he was handed life terms the judge stipulated he should serve a minimum of only eight years.

Worried he could be freed, prosecutors charged him with another rape from 1987 and he was convicted in 2012. Imiela got 12 years and has now served almost half, making him eligible for parole.

Snatched

The mother of his final victim said last week: “I’m horrified that this ‘thing’ might be back on the streets again.” Imiela snatched her ten-year-old girl near her home and assaulted her. Her mum added: “They should throw the key away for what he did.”

Maidstone crown court heard Imiela rang the mother of one victim, aged 25, minutes after an attack and said: “You know your daughter? I’ve just s****ed her. You’ll hear about it later.”

Imiela went on a rape spree after he was freed in 1988 from a 12- year sentence for a series of armed robberies.

He is known as the M25 rapist because many of his attacks happened near the London orbital motorway while he was living in Appledore, Kent.

Imiela has never admitted a sex offence. Sentencing in 2012, Judge John Bevan QC said: “Despite serving eight years of your life sentence you have not expressed one jot of remorse or repentance. I am satisfied you remain as dangerous as you were in 2004.

“Unless you show a change of attitude that would require a courage you do not possess, you will remain a danger to the public until you are infirm.”

The Parole Board said: “We can confirm the Ministry of Justice has referred the case of Antoni Imiela.”
