7 MARRIAGES AND 3 BABIES... EVENTUALLY

-

SEVEN happy couples got hitched after meeting on Take Me Out – but it wasn’t all love at first light.

Adele Vellacott and Dave Cobain became the first couple from the hit ITV show to get married after meeting in series two in 2012.

Dave, 33, went down the love lift but didn’t pick Adele, 37. They ended up on separate dates on the fictional island of Fernando’s.

And when love didn’t blossom they found each other instead.

The couple also produced the first Take Me Out baby when son Freddie, now four, was born. They are expecting baby number two next month.

Andrew Shaw, 33, snubbed Lindsay McCartney, 28, for student nurse and model Peggy Lawrence the same year. During his date the Scouse call centre worker realised he’d picked the wrong girl.

Back home, he tracked Lindsay down and they hit if off .

Veterinary student Kerry Beachom, 30, and car salesman Greig Senior, 35, appeared a year earlier in 2011 but actually met at the series three wrap party a year on and later married. It wasn’t a smooth path to love for Adam Ryan and Beckie Finch on series eight in 2016 – he turned off Beckie’s light and headed to Fernando’s with another date.

But the pair later found each other on Facebook, got engaged six months later, married in May and are expecting their first baby.

It took four years from meeting on series five for Robyn and Stuart Smith to say I Do last April. Guests included Gemma Gordon, 30, and Gavin Ellis, 31,who met on the same episode, got married soon after and had daughter Elvie-Rose, two.

But Dan Nash didn’t hesitate when he picked air hostess Dawn Edwards back in November 2010.

Dan, 33, from Welwyn Garden City, and Dawn, from Derby, later married and had baby Charlie in 2016.
