Pals flood singer Paul with support
SIR Rod Stewart has led touching tributes to the tragic wife of 1980s pop star Paul Young.
The Scottish rocker helped get the singer together with former model Stacey, who died aged 52 from brain cancer
He tweeted: “My dear Paul Young, my heart goes out to you for your loss. Stacey was warm, wonderful and always got the joke. Much love.”
Paul replied: “Thanks Rod: still can’t believe you recommended the brunette! And you were spot on.”
Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, who has also battled a brain tumour, posted: “Love going out to Paul Young and family.” Fellow 80s pop idol Midge Ure said: “My heart goes out to Paul Young at the THE pro Dancing on Ice partner of rugby player Max Evans was yesterday rushed to hospital after the favourites took a tumble.
Onlookers gasped as Ale Izquierdo, 30, was knocked out after hitting her head on the ice during the practice session.
A source said: “Max and Ale were rehearsing a waist high lift when they stumbled and Ale’s head hit the ice.
“She was laid out for a little while as concerned Max watched on. Thankfully she wasn’t seriously injured.”
Mexican Ale was taken to hospital and after being checked over was sent home to recover for 24 hours.
But she is expected to be well enough to perform on tonight’s show to continue the couple’s bid to win the series.

Paul and Stacey wed d in 1987 and had daughters ers Layla and Levi and son Grady. She also had d son Jude with businessman n Ilan Slazenger when they split from 2006 to 2009. When she went back to Paul, he became his stepfather. The couple met in 1983, when Stacey was hired to appear in the video for Paul’s second single Come Back and Stay. Paul once said that their separation had made it more obvious to both of them t that they were meant to stay toge together. “You have to work at marriage but b it helps that I know we were meant m to be together,” he said. “S “She is funny; she has a good sense se of humour.
