MEGHAN NIECE: STOP BICKERING

A TO Z OF THE ROYAL WEDDING: SEE PAGES 28 AND 29

- By Patrick Hill and Grant Hodgson

MEGHAN Markle’s niece has ordered her feuding family to stop criticising Prince Harry’s bride-to-be. Noela Rasmussen, 19, said rants by her mum and uncle after they were left off the wedding guest list made her embarrassed. “They’re the ones ripping the family apart, not Meghan,” she told the Sunday People.“After how they’ve treated her I don’t blame my aunt for not inviting them.”

First Meghan’s halfbrother Tom, 51, called her a “phoney Diana”.

He claimed the US divorcee “forgot her flesh and blood” after becoming a film star. Her half-sister Samantha, 53, then called Harry, 33, a hypocrite for backing humanitarian causes while allowing “Meg to ignore the Markles”. Noela said: “Tom says my aunt portrays a false image. I don’t believe it. I think mom likes the fame of being Meghan’s sister and is offended at not getting an invite. “It seems they both expect favours but Meghan shouldn’t have to do that. The pair have to stop this war of words.” Noela – not offended at getting no invitation to the wedding on May 19 – last saw Meghan, 36, in her home US city of Albuquerque in 2008.

“I recall her visit well,” she said. “She’s a good person and won’t want bad feelings. I believe these wounds will be healed.”

Meghan and Harry yesterday met Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull at a London reception for this year’s Invictus Games, founded by the prince, in Sydney.
