Towie Gemma says boyfriend is more demanding
REALITY TV’S Gemma Collins loves being rich and famous but says she is not the biggest diva in her relationship.
The celeb, who calls herself The GC, gives that title to her boyfriend and fellow Towie star James “Arg” Argent, 30. Although a journalist she refused to speak to for failing to read her new book this week may disagree...
Gemma, 37, insisted: “Arg is a bigger diva than me. He has a blow-dry once a week and he steals all my clothes. He always asks me to iron his shirts, do his washing. His diva demands don’t stop.”
Sometimes Arg even asks his girlfriend to be a diva. She said: “He goes, ‘Can you be GC today.’ I am like, ‘Arg, no!’”
Gemma admitted being The GC can be exhausting but stressed the importance of speaking her mind and being assertive.
Tongue
She said: “There’s a difference between being a diva and being an a***hole. You know, ‘Get me this, get me that.’ You’ve got to have manners.”
The Only Way Is Essex star’s bubbly attitude means she is in huge demand and needs an assistant to deal with all the phone calls and day-to-day life.
She is so busy that she has put off starting a family with Arg for a year. She said: “It’s gone absolutely mental for me. I’ll enjoy a last summer of fun.”
Gemma has also enjoyed her wealth and spent thousands on Arg.
Her dad handles her financial statements. She said: “He rang me up second week of January and told me, ‘You spent 2k in Harrods at Christmas. I think it’s disgusting!’
“I said, ‘Dad, I get paid really good money to turn up to a nightclub.’ He is old school.”
Talking about her new book, she said: “It won’t change history. It is tongue in cheek. It is having a bit of banter about yourself.”
