success during England’s route to the World Cup semifinal, wants to see how they cope ahead of back-to-back fixtures against Switzerland and Spain next month.

The pair are just on the cusp of breaking through for their clubs. Foden featured in the Community Shield earlier this month and should see his chances of playing for Pep Guardiola’s side improve following an injury to Kevin De Bruyne.

Southgate is understood to have spoken already to Guardiola about Foden’s potential and development.

Sancho, who was a product of Manchester City’s academy before being offloaded for £8million on deadline day last August, is gradually being brought through at Dortmund and came on as a substitute in the German cup last week.

The pair will be the headline inclusions in a squad that will also see several other changes from the party that travelled to Russia.

Heartbreak

One man who will be included is Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.

The 21-year-old defender suffered heartbreak following a breakthrough first season at Anfield.

He was crocked towards the end of his first campaign, picking up an ankle injury that kept him out of contention not just for the World Cup, but also Liverpool’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

But his stunning start to this season will see him reinstated to the squad.

Three other players under consideration are Leicester City’s James Maddison, Wolves skipper Conor Coady and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

Maddison has also kickedoff his debut campaign in the Premier League with a bang, impressing for the Foxes during the opening fixture at Old Trafford.

Coady, a product of Liverpool’s academy, has caught the eye because of his range of passing.
