Mac puts ref on spot as Dons are denied

-

DEREK MCINNES slammed referee Andrew Dallas after he refused to award ABERDEEN a first-half penalty in a 1-1 draw against HIBERNIAN at Easter Road.

Jamie Maclaren (right) bagged his maiden goal since returning to the capital club on loan to cancel out Tommie Hoban’s opener.

However, Mcinnes was left baffled by Dallas’s failure to point to the spot when Paul Hanlon appeared to trip Dons kid Lewis Ferguson in the box.

Mcinnes said: “How he doesn’t give that penalty, I will never know.

“I have watched it back and there is no way Paul Hanlon touches the ball, he just comes through and takes young Lewis down.”

HEARTS stayed top of the Premiership thanks to Uche Ikpeazu scoring the only goal against KILMARNOCK nine minutes from time.

The game was goalless midway through the second half when Killie midfielder Gary Dicker was given a straight red.

Hearts boss Craig Levein praised his side for upping their game against 10 men. He said: “I actually got more worried when Killie went down to 10 men. They’re really compact and I thought it would be an even tougher task to try to break them down when they had 10 men.” DUNDEE remain pointless after Tony Watt scored the only goal as ST JOHNSTONE got their first win of the season and LIVINGSTON did the same with a 2-0 victory at ST MIRREN.
