Roxanne ‘fee loss’ shock

- By Janine Yaqoob

ROXANNE Pallett looks glum yesterday as she appears in public for the first time since accusing Ryan Thomas of punching her on Celebrity Big Brother.

The ex-emmerdale star may have plenty to be miserable about. By quitting CBB it is thought she has forfeited her £75,000 fee.

Roxanne, 35, seen at a hotel in Elstree, Herts, faced an angry backlash after claiming Ryan, who was Jason Grimshaw in Corrie, hurt her with a playful shadow boxing punch in a CBB scene.

Other Street stars leapt to his defence, as he became favourite to win the show. Sue Cleaver, who plays Jason’s on-screen mum Eileen, tweeted: “Hor- rified at what @ryanjamesthomas is having to go through. I love this beautiful man so much and I know him inside out.”

Alan Halsall, Corrie’s Tyrone Dobbs, said the actor was “one of the nicest humans I know”.

Roxanne broke down in the diary room after accusing Ryan and walked out on Friday. Regulator Ofcom received 11,215 complaints from viewers over her reaction to the playfighting on Thursday.

Her management said Roxanne decided to leave “after deliberating for two days with some sensitive issues she felt strongly about.”

Ryan, 34, was formally warned over the alleged punch but insisted there was no malice. He told Roxanne: “I was showing my affection.”
