STRICTLY star and lothario Lee Ryan is about to come face to face with the fiancé of his pro dance partner. Blue singer Lee, 35, has been photographed in public holding hands and getting close to Nadiya Bychkova, a former Playboy model. Their closeness has sparked rumours of a romance between the pair and concern that Nadiya’s relationship may become the latest victim of the Strictly curse. But her footballer fiancé Matija Skarabot, 30, said he is “excited” about meeting Lee next week at the Strictly studios in Elstree. Matija said: “I’m very proud of her. The key is trust and supporting each other. We all have our past, so do you, so do I, so does he but the difference is that ours is not public. “I’ll meet him next week when I go to the show. I’m excited to meet him because he seems like a nice guy and we are already laughing even before we’ve met.” And the Slovenian sports star, who plays for Gorica in the Slovenian Prvaliga and has a two-year-old with Nadiya, thinks the curse which has seen a string of couples break-up is “nonsense”. Ukrainian beauty Nadiya has also insisted that to her “family is all that matters”. Lee performed the jive with Nadiya last night. Last week he said he does not want a repeat of the backlash he faced on 2014’s Celebrity Big Brother for romancing both Jasmine Waltz, 36, and Casey Batchelor, 33. Lee, who is in an on/off relationship with Samantha Millar, mum of his nineyear-old son, said he would be stepping away from entanglements. Nadiya has been inseparable from Lee in recent weeks and even accompanied the singer to get his hair done. But Strictly backing dancer Neil Jones, 35, said: “I know Nadiya, we live in the same building. They get on well but nothing’s happening. Nadiya has a little girl and loves her fiancé. He’s happy, he trusts her.” Nadiya, a two-time World Champion and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin ‘10’ Dance, joined Strictly in 2017.
