Its body confidence boost

Rockett’s review

-

like Steps did in the late 90s. She said: “You never know where you are, where you’re going or what’s happening next. You jump when they say jump but you know

you’re always jumping into something lovely. I’m constantly dancing around my kitchen at home and we record a lot of videos during training, so I am always watching those, trying to make the steps stick in my mind and see how I can improve or try and make the routine a bit more special.”

Even though she looks cool and collected on the dance floor, Faye says she is struggling to sleep because of nerves. She went on: “It’s so tough and I’ve been having lots of sleepless nights. I’m not dreaming about it, or should I say, having nightmares. “But lack of sleep is definitely an issue for me right now. I think it’s because everything is so exciting but also it’s nerve-racking as well. It’s a great job to get and I was so relieved to get the first live show out of the way so I could know how my body was going to react to the nerves. I feel like now I am a little better at being able to wrap them up and keep them under control.”

After suffering whiplash during last week’s rehearsals, Faye is hoping to enjoy an injury-free time this week.

“I honestly thought I wasn’t going to be able to move my neck because I was so sore,” she said. “It’s such intense training for a week to nail one performance and make it look like we’re professionals.

“It’s hard on our bodies. Last week it was blisters, then bruises and whiplash! I’m looking forward to this week!” Our queen of the dance floor KAREN ROCKETT gives her verdict
