Even when Spice Girl’s pet goat Phyllis was watching
MEL B’s ex-lover has told of the animal magnetism they shared - and how her pet goat watched them romp.
Playgirl model Danny Lopes, 36, had a whirlwind relationship with the singer after friends introduced them at the start of the year.
He said: “The chemistry between us was clear. She looked me up and down and immediately knew I was not fake.”
And lifting the lid on their passionate time together, he told of how they were in stitches after her goat Phyllis interrupted them in bed one night.
Danny said: “We were making love on the bed and heard a ‘baaahaaa’. And we looked up and saw Phyllis was in the corner of the room staring at us.
“It was hilarious, like she was giving us her seal of approval. It was so weird but we just laid there laughing.
“That moment just made everything even more fun and real. We didn’t shush Phyllis out, she just stood there watching – like a voyeur.”
But Danny says after Mel, 43, admitted she loved him, her emotional insecurities from her split with husband Stephen Belafonte took over and she dumped him. And he reckons the tormented Spice Girl is unlikely to find love again. Danny said: “I doubt that Mel will ever be able to trust someone enough to be in love or be married again.
“The impact of that relationship has left her unable to trust anyone fully and let them into her heart. Mel will go so far and then pull back – and that happened with me.
“It breaks my heart, because Mel has so much to offer as a partner. She told me she loved me, I told her the same, but while physically we were a natural fit she pulled away from taking things further.”
Danny – who is working on films with cult horror director Dante Tomaselli, including The Doll and The Ocean – insisted he only has Mel’s best interests at heart.
He said: “I will not badmouth Mel. I know we still can be together. I told her I talked to media and she complained ‘Oh, you are another person using me for fame’. I am not. I am here to defend her and tell my truth about us and what an amazing, strong woman she is.”
Mel’s autobiography tells of her anger at Stephen, 43, who she blames for blowing her £80million fortune and forcing her into threesomes.
Belafonte – with whom she has daughter Madison, seven – has strenuously denied all of her claims.
But Danny, also a successful artist, said: “She has become so paranoid and has a trust issue. Her ex still is part of her life, because of Madison, and it affects her. I hope she can recover from what happened.”
Mel declined to comment.
