Winner Kev to lift lid on killer ballroom world

STRICTLY winner Kevin Clifton plans to write a tell-all TV drama about the ruthless world of ballroom competitio­n.

The profession­al dancer who won this year’s BBC series with TV presenter Stacey Dooley plans to script the gritty reality behind the glitz and glamour.

Kevin, 36, is in talks about the project with comedian Susan Calman – his dance partner from the 2017 series of Strictly.

The glitterbal­l champ said: “There’s a TV drama I would really like to write based around the ballroom dance world – not the glitz an and the glamour. Me and nd Susan have been talk talking about it quite a lot.

“It doesn’t really need eed to have much d dancing in it.

“I want it to be a drama on the c competitiv­eness, the he politics, the dy dynamics between partnershi­ps tnerships and what th they have to go through gh to win.”

Kevin plans to draw raw on his own experience­s exp in the business iness and those of his friends and family, including ncluding sister and former form Strictly star Joanne nne Clifton.

He H told BBC Humberside’s side’s David Burns: “My whole family really has a lot of stories from that world.”

Kevin, K from Grimsby, sby, Lincs, had previously prev appeared in n four finals but missed mis out on top spot until the latest.
