Higuain might be box office but Aguero will aways be the leading man STAN COLLYMORE

THE message from Maurizio Sarri to his Chelsea stars after last Saturday’s 5-0 thumping of Huddersfield would have been clear.

‘OK, fellas, I’ve given you a lot of rollockings in public and in private in recent weeks but that was better from everyone,’ he will have told them.

‘It was a good clean sheet and we need to use this match as the start of the last part of our season.

‘If we can play the way we’ve just played and be as professional as we’ve just been between now and mid-may then, with the striker we have now, we are going to be in a good position.’

They will all have gone home far happier than they have been in the past couple of months. certainly happier than they were after losing at Bournemouth a few days earlier.

That striker, Gonzalo Higuain, is going to make a huge difference to Chelsea this season.

As someone who used to play in that position, I’m excited that we’ve finally got the chance to watch him at close quarters.

The nature of the goals he has scored wherever he has been – River Plate in Argentina, Real Madrid in Spain, and Napoli, Juventus and AC Milan in Italy – makes him box office.

Whether that will be enough for Chelsea sea to make the top four our we will have to wait ait and see but he will l give them the lift Sarri has been looking for.

Yet despite all the success he has enjoyed, if I had t o pick a Premier League ue goalscorer to play ay in my side it wouldn’t ldn’t be Higuain. Instead it would be his opposite number this afternoon, his international team- mate Sergio Aguero. When people ask me who are my favourite strikers in the Premier Leagu League, I tell them that my first c choice is Aguero. So i is my second. And my t third.

Higuain ( above) h has the numbers b behind him, the swagger, and the wow moments, but Aguero is a metronome. I w would put only T Thierry Henry and A Alan Shearer ahead of him in Premier Leagu League history.

Should Agu Aguero win a fourth title with Manchester City this season, and I’m certain he will, then he might
