Peril of looking likekim

-

KIANNA’S ordeal comes six months after British mum-ofthree Leah Cambridge died – reportedly while having a bum lift in Turkey.

Leeds beautician Leah, 29, is said to have had three heart attacks after suffering a fat clot while under anaesthetic.

She had booked in for a £5,000 procedure at a cosmetic surgery in the coastal city of Izmir.

A second Brit, mum-of

-two Tryce Harry, 49, of Birmingham, died just two hours after having the same surgery in Hungary in March last year.

The bum lift procedure has grown in popularity among women seeking to achieve hourglass figures similar to the likes of American reality star Kim Kardashian, 38.

But British surgeons have warned the death rate of one in 3,000 is the highest for any aesthetic procedure.

Last year The British Association of Aesthetic

Plastic Surgeons (Baaps) asked its members to halt Brazilian bum lifts until more research on the dangers of the procedure can be done.

There has been a sixfold increase in the number of patients needing urgent follow-up care after botched overseas operations since 2013, according to new research for Baaps.

On average, patients needing urgent aftercare following dodgy procedures stay on hospital wards for around 20 days.

Each case costs the NHS about £32,500.
