Bum-lift at Katie Price clinic nearly killed me

- Kelly J Jenkins

A BEAUTICIAN was “an hour from death” after a Brazilian bum-lift at a clinic plugged by model Katie Price.

Katrina Harrison spent £3,000 on surgery but was in agony with sepsis. She said: “The whole experience was horrific.”

The single mum, 33, picked the Comfort Zone Cosmetic Surgery, in Istanbul, Turkey, for the operation because Katie had been there in May.

Katie, 41, posted social media pictures after her Brazilian bumlift, face-lift and liposuction.

Katrina, of Warrington, Cheshire, convinced by celebs’ before and after Instagram shots had the surgery on July 1.

She said: “Everyone knows Katie and has seen the surgery she’s had and the results.”

Fat was taken from Katrina’s belly and re-inserted it into the hips and bum but she woke with severe pains in her stomach. She said: “I thought, ‘What have I done? Am I going to leave my son without a mother?’”

Surgical drains were put in to remove excess liquid from her stomach but after 24 hours the agony was worse. Yet she was told it was all “normal”.

Four days later she flew home but fainted at Manchester airport.

That night, an ambulance took her to Warrington Hospital, where she was put on a drip for nine days to fight post-op sepsis.

She said: “I felt freezing cold but my stomach was so hot you could have cooked an egg on it. I was shaking and I couldn’t stop being sick.”

“A nurse told me if I had waited just one hour longer to call an ambulance, I would be dead.”

Katrina is slowly recovering but claims that Comfort Surgery has failed to offer her any help or explanation for what went wrong. She urged others to shun the operation.

She said: “It is disgusting. And it is outrageous that celebrities like Katie Price are endorsing this place.”

A Comfort Surgery representative said: “We don’t just leave patients high and dry after they have faced such a complication.

“We offer them all of our help. If she needs help in any way, we are ready to help her. We told her.”

We contacted Katie for a comment about her endorsement.
