Bake Off star’s girl wanted to be HOLLY WED

PAUL Hollywood’s girlfriend was hoping he was about to propose – but he dished up a gagging order that has ended their two-year romance.

Summer Monteys Fullam, 24, thought the Bake Off star, 53, was going to pop the question days after his divorce from Alex was finalised.

Instead, Paul wanted former barmaid Summer to sign legal papers that would have forced her to stay tightlipped about their relationship. She dumped Paul after the row.

Last night, a source told the Sunday People: “Summer wanted to make things official. She thought Paul was going to propose, but instead he served her with a gagging order.

“She was totally heartbroken that Paul would even ask her to sign such a thing and took it as an insult. It showed her how he really viewed their relationship.

“Paul is now wishing he’d not pushed for the gagging papers.

“He has been apologetic but friends say he took her for granted.

“Summer now realises there is only room for one person in a relationship with Paul – and that’s himself.”

Paul was yesterday understood to be licking his wounds.

After being asked to sign the nondisclosure agreement this week, Summer stormed out of Paul’s mansion in the middle of the night.

The agreement drawn up by his lawyers reportedly said she would not be able to discuss anything about their relationship. Summer feared it might leave her unable to even speak to her family and friends about the romance.

She refused to sign and decided the trust had gone. The source said: “The dynamics between Paul and Summer changed when his divorce was finalised.

“His attention seemed to have shifted and Summer isn’t his priority long term. By all accounts, he doesn’t want to settle down and have another family.” Paul prepared for his showdown with Summer by partying with pals.

He enjoyed a boozy night out days before the wrangle.

Paul and a large group of beerswilling friends partied at a pub in Heswall near the baker’s childhood home on the Wirral.

Several fans jumped at the chance to take selfies with him.

A barman said: “It was mainly the women who went for him, obviously. He was very v polite and didn’t turn d down any requests.” T The following night Pa Paul had a meal out with h his family.

Yesterday his solicitor t Tom Amlot said: “I asked Summer to sign an a NDA as is standard p practice in order to p protect Paul’s family an and their private lives. “Sum “Summer insisted that she had no intention of selling any stories to the press and declined.

“I think that her refusal to discuss or sign it caused concern, understandably, so it’s not entirely surprising that they have gone their separate ways.”

Summer and Paul moved into the £850,000 Grade Ii-listed property in February and began renovations.

They had met at his local pub in 2017. She is now staying with her mum in nearby Ickham, Kent.

At her home in Wallasey, Merseyside, Paul’s mum Gillian said he has been spending time with his family.

Accounts posted last month for Paul’s company HJP Media LLP showed a drop from £8.2million in 2017 to £7.2million in 2018. Bake Off returns to Channel 4 this month.
