NEW Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany wants to take former England keeper Joe Hart to Belgium.

Kompany and Hart were team-mates at Manchester City ( right) and the inspirational defender, who was installed as Anderlecht player- manager after helping Pep Guardiola’s side retain the Premier League title, has been in touch with Burnley.

Hart, signed last summer in a £3.5million deal, started the season in the first team.

Offers

But he slipped down the pecking order with the return to fitness of club captain Tom Heaton and another Three Lions keeper Nick Pope.

Burnley will listen to offers for 32- year- old Hart, despite Heaton leaving for Aston Villa – with manager Sean Dyche bringing in Leeds United keeper Bailey Peacock-farrell.

But the problem for Kompany is getting Hart to agree to a big cut in wages although, on the plus side, Anderlecht can promise first-team football.

Hart has already had experience of playing abroad, spending a season on loan in Italy with Torino in 2016-17.

Move

He is anxious to play regular firstteam football again after a frustrating end to last season.

Meanwhile, Kemar Roofe will complete his move from Leeds to Anderlecht today.

The 26-year-old striker has been in talks with the Belgian club for the last couple of days.

And with his representative, Robert Segal, close to finalising negotiations yesterday, Roofe expects to put pen to paper before the weekend is over.

Roofe, who joined Leeds from Oxford in 2016, will link up at Anderlecht with former Arsenal, Manchester City and West Ham midfielder Samir Nasri.
