Victim tells of anger pervert won’t be tried

PRINCE Andrew’s paedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein believed someone had tried to kill him weeks before his death, it was claimed last night.

The bombshell allegation was revealed after the billionaire was found hanged in his jail cell in New York yesterday.

A source said Epstein, 66, had told prison guards and fellow inmates his life was in danger as he awaited trial on under-age sex trafficking charges.

The source added: “There was no indication that he might try to take his own life. From what I saw he was finally starting to adjust to prison.”

Officials have admitted Epstein was not on suicide watch despite an attempt two weeks ago.

And as the FBI investigated his death, many claimed he had been purposely left alone because of his links to America’s most powerful people.

Ex- Florida congressman Joe Scarborough said: “Authorities couldn’t keep Epstein alive by putting him under 24-hour surveillance?

“How convenient for a lot of rich and powerful men.

Destroyed

“He reportedly tried to kill himself two weeks ago. And is allowed to finish the job now? Bull****.

“A guy who had information that would have destroyed rich and powerful men’s lives ends up dead in his jail cell. How predictably... Russian.

“Powerful Democratic and Republican figures breathing a huge sigh of relief – as well as a Harvard professor or two.

“The rich and powerful get away with raping young girls again.”

Epstein died hours after hundreds of previously sealed documents were made public.

They also include remarkable claims – strongly denied – that the Duke of York had sex with one of Epstein’s victims when she was 17.

The Prince was further accused of touching the breast of a 21-year-old woman as they sat on a sofa in Epstein’s Manhattan apartment. Last night one
